Mayor Henry, Hoosier politicians commemorate Veterans Day
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Fort Wayne’s Mayor and other politicians in the Hoosier state took to social media to thank those who served this Veterans Day.
Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry shared a quick message of thanks on his Facebook page:
“This Veterans Day, we honor all who serve and have served to keep America safe,” Governor Eric Holcomb said in a video posted to his Facebook page.
Senators Mike Braun and Todd Young took to Twitter to share their messages of support.
“Veterans Day is a day we honor our service members,” Young said. “We acknowledge and commend their steadfast bravery, their undeniable patriotism, and the countless sacrifices they and their loved ones have made.”

Schools across town are also doing their part to recognize those who have served the country with dozens of events planned for the area school districts.
One of the events organized by FWCS at Irwin STEM Magnet School honored Veterans at its annual event.
