Police respond to fatal shooting in Van Wert

VAN WERT, Ohio. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - One person is dead after a shooting Sunday afternoon at 600 South Tyler St. in Van Wert according to the Van Wert Police Department.

Authorities confirm the incident happened just after 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Officers called the situation “an incident involving a gun resulting in a fatality”.

As of Monday morning, no arrests have been announced. The department is continuing to investigate.
