FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - For more than 54 years, Jeff’s Coney has delighted customers with a friendly atmosphere and creative coneys.

“When I bought it people asked me why didn’t I change it to Darren’s Dogs? And I said, well if I bought “McDonalds”, I wouldn’t change it to McDarrins,” said Jeff’s Coney owner Darrin Poling.

“We’ve kept the name, we’ve kept the recipes, we want the nostalgia to linger on for years to come.”

At Jeff’s Coney (Located at Georgetown Square) you’re always guaranteed three things:

“A good time, good food, and good friends,” says Poling.

“We are very family friendly. We like to joke, laugh, make people feel comfortable. Make them part of the show, and they enjoy it. They truly enjoy it.”

In addition to the warm and friendly environment, Jeff’s Coney has a lasting reputation for flavorful chili and creative coneys.

Watch the full segment above to see how Poling crafts two unique dishes at Jeff’s Coney: the Texas dog and the kraut dog.
