FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Tuesday morning road conditions remain slick especially on rural and untreated roads following the wintry weather Monday evening. Morning temperatures start in the mid-20s, allowing for ice to remain frozen on streets and sidewalks for the morning commute. Fortunately, skies will gradually clear as high temperatures climb above freezing into the upper 30s. Warmer temperatures and times of sunshine will help to melt any ice still leftover from Monday.

This warmer than average trend won’t last long as a cold front is set to move through overnight into early Wednesday. Temperatures will be above freezing as the front moves through and light drizzle falls for the Wednesday morning commute. As the front passes temperatures will fall below freezing by midday then into the teens overnight. This quick freeze following early morning sprinkles could lead to some more potential road issues. Plan to drive with caution and take it slow Wednesday morning. Stay with Fort Wayne’s NBC for the latest ahead of more possible winter weather impacts.

Have a great Tuesday!
