FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Purdue Fort Wayne (PFW) has extended the temporary mask mandate for wearing face masks inside campus buildings until March 18, right after spring break. The campus had originally required masks indoors on campus until the end of January.

The masks must be worn indoors on campus, the university said, unless an individual is in a closed office or a walled personal workspace, regardless of vaccination status. The university is also offering free N95 masks to students and faculty at the Rhinehart Music Center’s Shatzlein Box Office and at the Student Housing Clubhouse.

The university will revisit the face mask requirement in March.
