FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - The 11th annual Winterval returns to the Summit City this weekend.

From 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, local businesses will be hosting free, winter-themed activities across the downtown area. Activities range from a winter hike at Lindenwood Nature Preserve, sled dogs at Headwaters Park, live ice carving, and a beer trail at local breweries.

“Some people love going around just for the live ice carvings, you know other people they come for the games and activities. It’s just to see everybody out downtown enjoying the weather depending on what it is, but just enjoying each other and socializing when we’ve all been cooped up for two years,” Community Center Manager Patti Davis said.
