NFL’s Tranquill speaks inspirational words to next generation at WBA leadership luncheon

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - NFL linebacker Drue Tranquill remembers his high schools day like they were yesterday, making it all the easier to relate to and inspire a next generation of young athletes.

Back in his hometown of Fort Wayne, Tranquill spoke in front of 76 student athletes from 19 local schools at the fifth annual World Baseball Academy “Beyond the Game” leadership luncheon on Monday.

The leadership luncheon honored some of brightest young area athletes who exemplify WBA’s core character values of integrity, knowledge, discipline, perseverance, respect and initiative.

Tranquill spoke words of encouragement toward the power of each person in the room and how self-confidence in individuality can propel these young men and women into leaders of the future.
