Notre Dame eager for opportunity at NCAA Tournament play-in against Rutgers

DAYTON, Oh. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - After falling short in the ACC Tournament, Notre Dame basketball looks to make noise in the NCAA Tournament as the Fighting Irish draw fellow 11th seeded Rutgers in a “First Four” play-in game at the University of Dayton Arena on Wednesday night. Tip-off is set for 9:10 p.m.
Notre Dame playing in “The Big Dance” for the first time, since 2017.
An experienced squad, the Fighting Irish feature eight upperclassmen who will all be making their NCAA Tournament debuts, as members of the program.
The winner will advance to the Round of 64 to take on sixth seeded Alabama.
