Police arrest suspect in Saturday night deadly shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Fort Wayne police have made an arrest in Saturday night’s deadly shooting in the 2100 block of Chartwell Drive.

Sunday police arrested 23-year-old Har San in connection with the shooting that left one woman dead. He was taken to the Allen County Jail on a preliminary charge of murder and additional drug related offenses.

Officer were called to the scene just after 11:00 on a report of a shooting, investigators said. When they got there they found a woman who had been shot in the chest. She was taken to a local hospital in serious condition, but she later died.

Investigators believe the woman was inside of her apartment when someone opened up the back door and began shooting.

Police are talking with people in the area who might’ve seen what happened, FWPD said.
