Family of fallen Marine: ‘He was humble, dedicated and proud to serve his country’

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - The family of Capt. Matthew Tomkiewicz, one of four marines who died during a NATO exercise on Friday, has shared a statement on his passing.

Capt. Tomkiewicz, a Fort Wayne man, was among the Marines who died when their Osprey aircraft crashed Friday night in a Norwegian town in the Arctic Circle during training.
