FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - After a highly contested battle with Kalamazoo, the defending-champion Komets hold off the Wings, 5-4, clinching a playoff berth.

Komets’ forward, Lynden McCallum, was outstanding for the K’s, securing the hat trick. The forward’s hat tick marked the fourth time this season a Fort Wayne player netted three goals.

Matt Alvaro also contributed in a sizable manner, lighting the lamp twice in Saturday’s victory over the Wings.

The Komets will be back in action versus the Wings Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
