Komets drop game five, Nailers take 3-2 series lead

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - The Komets are one game away from elimination after dropping game five to the Wheeling Nailers, 3-2, in West Virginia Saturday.

The Komets showed fight all night long, knotting the game even on two separate occasions, including Mathew Boudens short-handed goal in the third period.

The defending Kelly Cup Champs will have an opportunity to avoid elimination, as the series shifts back to Fort Wayne for a game six.

Puck drop is set for this upcoming Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the War Memorial Coliseum.
