FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Mailmen and women all across the country will be picking up more than just letters and packages on Saturday, May 14. During the nationwide “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive day, letter carriers will pick up bags of nonperishable food items to take to local food banks.

All of the food collected will stay in the community, going toward organizations like the Associated Churches of Fort Wayne and Allen County to sort and redistribute to those in need. Local collectors ask that you simply bag up non-perishables in a plastic or paper bag and leave it out by your mailbox (excluding glass containers).
