Carroll and Leo softball capture sectional titles

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Both Carroll and Leo softball captured sectional championships thanks to excellent pitching on Thursday night.
Chargers freshman Emilia Garcia hurled six scoreless innings for the, 2-1, victory over conference champion Northrop in extra innings.
Carroll’s Lily Zeidler knocked in the game-winning RBI, as Jaidyn Fuller came into score in the eighth inning of play.
Leo’s Ellie Sauder pitched a, 2-0, shutout over Angola.
The Lions Lillie Pierce provided the punch on offense, driving home both of the team’s runs.
