Fort Wayne police seek gas station robbery suspect

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - The Fort Wayne Police Department is looking for a man they say has robbed three gas stations armed with a long-barreled gun, two of the robberies happened early Tuesday morning.

Police describe the man as between 5-feet, 8-inches, to 5-feet, 10-inches tall, and believe he is in his late 40s to early 60s. During the robberies, the man is always wearing a dark blue long coat with a hood that has paint stains on it and wearing a surgical mask.

Police say the man has not hesitated to point the gun at cashiers during the robbery.

On May 22, at 2:23 p.m., police say the man robbed the Phillips 66, 1415 N. Coliseum Boulevard. On May 31, police believe the man robbed two gas stations, at 4:30 a.m., the Lassus, 5917 Lima Road, and the Quick Stop 3170 E. State Boulevard at 4:51 a.m.
