Man pleads guilty in death of toddler

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - A Fort Wayne man pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter Monday in the death of a 17-month-old in May of 2021.
Shaquille Rowe was originally charged with three felony counts, including murder, related to the death of Aiden Clark. Aiden was found with severe injuries at an apartment in the 2700 block of Millbrook Drive and was rushed to a hospital, but died.
The plea agreement calls for Rowe to be sentenced to 30 years, with 10 of those years to be suspended, a court document says. The agreement must still be accepted by a judge.
Rowe will be sentenced on August 12.
