FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - We are less than 30 days away from high school football returning to the Hoosier state, as our sports team continues to get you primed with season previews.

For the past two seasons, Bishop Luers has been the team to beat in Class 2A. Two seasons ago, Luers finished as state runners-up, followed by going 10-2 last year.

This time around, we’ll see a new look Knights team, as the program graduated a ton of seniors. Unlike seasons past, Bishop Luers’ offense will take a run first approach, while the defense will likely be the team’s strong suit.

On the other hand, Bishop Dwenger is coming off a 7-5 season, that saw the Saints fishing fifth in the SAC. The Saints are confident that the program will compete at a high level in the SAC and beyond with new quarterback Sam Campbell under center.

The Knights kick off their season taking on Carroll, while the Saints face off with Wayne in week one.
