TinCaps led by Mears three-run mash in, 5-2, victory at Chiefs

PEORIA, Ill. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Held scoreless until the eighth inning, TinCaps outfielder Joshua Mears changed that with one swing of the bat, mashing a three-run blast to give Fort Wayne the lead, and the Caps never looked back in a, 5-2, final over the Chiefs.

The go-ahead home run is Mears’ first shot since rejoining the TinCaps on Tuesday, his ninth total with the high-A ball club.

Winners in four of five, the TinCaps aim for another victory in Peoria on Friday night at 7:35 p.m.
