FWPD: Boy killed in shooting, 2nd minor charged

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - A boy is dead and another minor has been charged with reckless homicide in a shooting that happened Monday evening.

The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) says that just before 6 p.m. Monday, officers were called to the 2100 block of Carterton Drive and found a boy suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

FWPD says shortly after, another minor, a male, was found and arrested.

The minor is cooperating in the investigation, FWPD says.
