FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - A suspect involved in a double shooting in the 800 block of Third Street agreed to a plea deal Friday for his part in the shooting deaths of 40-year-old Jennifer Ann Dray, and 30-year-old Amanda Lee Shroyer on April 20, 2021.

Joshua J. Dube, 37, agreed to attempted robbery, criminal confinement, and possession of methamphetamine for a total of 30 years.

Dube told police his brother-in-law recently died and suspected Dray of intentionally giving him an overdose level of drugs. He told officers he then went over to her house to get his brother-in-law’s belongings.

A witness said Dray called him saying Joshua Dube was at her home with a gun, taking her belongings.

Dube is scheduled to be sentenced on February 24, 2023.
