FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - The rest of Sunday evening should stay calm and dry with temperatures in the mid 70s this evening, but overnight we’re tracking our next chance for rain and storms.

The timing of the system looks to be between about 1am to 8am, with the line exiting our region right around sunrise. Here in Fort Wayne, rain and storms could start between about 2am - 5am. There is a small risk of one or two strong, potentially severe storms developing, with the primary threat being damaging wind. However, the confidence is on the lower side that any severe weather develops.

We’ll see a bit of cloud cover in the late morning on Monday, but then we should see more sunshine in the late afternoon and early evening. Afternoon temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s on Monday.

We’ll hang on to the low to mid 80s for the afternoon highs until about Wednesday. Then, a big temperature swing will take place, dropping afternoon highs into the upper 60s for the rest of the week before we slowly claw our way back into the low 70s for part of next weekend. So, beware if you’re a fan of summer because fall-like weather is on its way.
