FWPD: Arrest made in grill theft from local store

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) says a man has been arrested in connection with the theft of two Traeger Grills from the Simply Decks & Stuff on Friday, Sept 16, 2022.

FWPD says detectives used surveillance video from the company to positively identify and arrest 26-year-old Justin Edwards, from Fort Wayne.

FWPD says Edwards had help in taking the grills from two other people that police have not yet identified. Police say the grills, that were stolen from the store one at a time on the same day, are still missing.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 260-436-7867.

Edwards is in the Allen County Jail on two counts of theft.
