Jury finds Fort Wayne man guilty in June 2020 shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - A Fort Wayne man arrested in June of 2020 in connection with the shooting death of a 34-year-old man was found guilty of murder by a jury on Wednesday.

Timothy Hall was charged with the death of Manuel Mendez after an argument on June 13, 2020. The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) says Hall shot Mendez in the 2100 block of Gilmore Drive after Mendez confronted Hall for driving drunk with a child in the car.

Hall was found guilty of murder, resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness, and a handgun enhancement.

Hall’s sentencing is scheduled for October 31, 2022.
