FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - The rain associated with the cold front that moved through Friday morning is long gone, but the colder air will hang around through the weekend.

Clouds will linger a bit for your Friday, but we should start to see clearing skies in the evening. Temperatures in the afternoon will only climb into the mid 50s for the highs.

Overnight into Saturday mornings, we could see temperatures drop into the low 30s, upper 20s for some, which has prompted the NWS to issue a Freeze Watch for many in NE Indiana and NW Ohio. This means you need to take precautions to protect plants that are sensitive to the cold.

Saturday afternoon won’t be much warmer, but it will be sunnier.

We’ll start to see a gradual warming trend starting Sunday, which will continue into next week as highs go from the mid 60s to the low 70s. Sunshine will hang around until mid-next week, which is when we’re tracking our next rain chance to be.
