FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Changes in the weather pattern will start today. One of those changes will bring us the chance for some rain.

Most of Thursday will be dry, outside of a few stray sprinkles here or there. The best chance for rain won’t happen until Thursday night, into Friday morning. Don’t expect a lot of rain, but it’ll be just enough to second guess late night, outdoor plans.

Temperatures will climb into the low 70s for the highs in the afternoon on Thursday, but the rain is associated with a cold front this will bring cold air back into our area. So, high temperatures on Friday are expected to only make it into the mid 50s.

Saturday morning, one or two spots could be looking at temperatures in the upper 20s, low 30s, which means some places could experience freezing temperatures that could damage plants. Not widespread, but isolated pockets we could see that happen in.

Afternoon temperatures will gradually climb from 56 on Saturday to the low 70s by next Wednesday. However, late in the 7-day period is when we’re tracking our next chance for rain.
